SIR CHARLES HARINGTON

GOVERNOR OF GIBRALTAR SIR A. GODLEY'S SUCCESSOR (Received April 9, 5.5 p.m.) British Wireless RUGBY. April 8 General Sir Charles Harington has been to succeed General Sir Alexander Godley as Governor of Gibraltar next October. General Sir Alexander Goclley, who was General Officer Commanding the New Zealand Forces, 1910-14, and commanded the Dominion's Expeditionary Force throughout tho Great War, has been Governor of Gibraltar since 1928. His successor, General Sir Charles Harington, has been A.D.C. General to the King since 1930 and General Officer Commanding-in-Chief at Aldershot since 1931.
