DISPLAYS ON WARSHIPS
♦ WELLINGTON'S NAVY WEEK [BY TELEGRAPH—OWN CORRESPONDENT] WELLINGTON, Sunday Wellington's navy week celebrations will commence on Wednesday - next with a programme of special naval displays on board the warships Dunedin, Veronica and Laburnum, berthed at the Clyde Quay Wharf. These displays will take place between 1.30 p.m. and 5.30 p.m., and will be open to the public. The whole of the ships' companies will be on board taking part in the. displays and conducting visitors over the ships. The Dunedin will fire torpedoes, euii drill will be carried out on the Laburnum, and the Veronica's forecastle will he available as a stand for spectators. The Veronica's divers will operate a pontoon. A searchlight display will given, in. the evening.
