I EVIDENCE OF DEATH PACT DISCOVERY IN MADRAS (Received April 7. 10.5 p.m.) CALCUTTA. April 7 What appears to have been a murder and tiuicide pact was discovered on a sacred hill in Madras. Six bodies were found on a raised mound, and a seventh, that of a middleuged Indian, hanging from a tree. A letter attached to this body indicated that the man was a native of Trichinopoli, Madras/ His family was destitute and unhappy, and ho decided to kill his wife, two sons, two daughters and baby before committing There is evidence that the last moments of the family were spent over a meal and in prayer.
