MINISTER OF EMPLOYMENT

BUSY DAY IN THE CITY A busy day was spent in Auckland yesterday by the Minister of Employment, the Hon. A. Hamilton, who came to the city to confer with local bodies and others on unemployment. In the morning the Minister received private deputations. For two hours in the afternoon Mr. Hamilton, who is accompanied by Mr. J. S. Jessep, deputy-cliairman, aud Mr. \V. Bromley, a member of the Unemployment Board, sat in conference with representatives of the local bodies in the metropolitan area. This was followed by a deputation. Further deputations will bo received by Mr. Hamilton to-day and he will confer with the Auckland members of Parliament. The Minister will leave for Wellington by the limited express this evening. He will meet a deputation from the Hamilton unemployed on the Frankton station.
