MINISTER TO HOLY SEE (Received March 31, 6.5 p.m.) British Wireless RUGBY, March 30 The newly-appointed British Minister to the Holy See, Sir Robert Clive, to-day was received in audience by the Pope. Sir Robert Henry Clive, formerly Minister at Teheran, was appointed British Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to the Holy See on March 6. He was appointed British Minister to Persia in 1926. He was born in December, 1877, bis mother being tho daughter of the Bth Earl of Denbigh. He has been in the diplomatic service since 1902 and has filled posts in Rome, Tokio, Cairo, Berne, Stockholm and Peking. Also he was formerly British Consul-General in Munich and Tangier.
