A NEGLECTED WAVE
Regarded by the judge at Northampton county court as of considerable importance to hairdressers and dentists, a recent case was adjourned in which a woman was sued for not fulfilling her appointment for a permanent wave. It was stated that she made no attempt to arrange a fresh date. A local hairdresser brought u claim for two guineas on the ground that the appointment amounted to a contract. Judge Drucquer adjourned the case in order to give the solicitor a chance of citing similar cases. He remarked that there might have been some cases decided which would be of assistance to plaintiff's contention, though it was doubtful, in view of the small amount involved, whether any had got as far as the House of Lords.
