ELECTION OF OFFICIOS A combined annual meeting of Auckland Master Printers' Union the association was held cn Thursday evening, Mr. A. Dennison presiding over a largo attendance. In a review of the past year, Mr. Dennison said it had been a particularly hard one for the printing industry, and the whole industry had required adjustment, to meet the changed economic conditions. In connection with the sales tax, Mr.. Dennison reported that the Government proposed to classify, printers as wholesalers, which, he believed, was the classification nnst suitable for the industry. The following officers were elected:— 1 President, Mr. E. Aldridge; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. F. J. Dawson and T. WThompson; treasurer, Mr. C. H. Jenkins; auditor, Mr. J. A. Sherriff; apprenticeship committee, Messrs. P. J. right, R. Wishart and G. Clark; representative Manufacturers' Association. Mr. G. A.Goodwin ; representative employers' asso* ciation, Mr. A. Spencersecretary, MrH. E. Simmonds; executive, Messrs. Aj Dennison, B. C. Jacobs, G. Clark, J. Wright, A. Hall, Pearsall, E. Taylor, W. C. CargilF.Tl. E. Conrad and R. Wishart.
