President, Marshal von Hindenburg, absolves them from their duties. The Controller of Police, Captain Goering annpunces the seizure of the incomes and property of the' Ministers to recoup to the police the amount of the grant which a Minister misused." RETURN OF MONARCHY SPEECH BY ADVOCATE A BROADCAST REFUSED (Received March 28. 9.5 p.m.) BERLIN. March 27 The broadcasting authorities who are controlled by the Government refused to broadcast a monarchist speech by llerr Ebert von Bismarck, a relative of the once v famous Chancellor at a meeting of the League of Nationalist Youth which the ex-Kaiser's son, Oscar, attended. Heri* von Bismarck pleaded for the return of the hereditary Hohenzollern monarchy. He said: "We need a State where the divine right for the Lrnperoi is a mandate from Above, even as the vocation of every citizen is a duty ordered from Above." RULE OF THE NAZIS PRE-WAR CONDITIONS SIGNS OF A RETURN % BERLIN. March 27 A significant example of the return to pre-war conditions in Germany is the t.overnmpfit's decree restoring sword duelling at Heidelberg University. The students, mostly Nazis, are jubilant. Hen- Hitler is 'introducing compulsory labour among the unemployed, particularly in agriculture and forestry. Thirteen special Courts are to be established to try political prisoners. MISSION OF WOMEN NO PLACE IN POLITICS BERLIN. March 22 , Br. Goebbels. Minister of Propaganda, in opening an exhibition of women's work, said the Nazis had not debarred women from politics, because they disdained women, but because they rated them too highly to involve them in political intrigues. Nobody wanted to drive women from the professions and work, but the social reformers' first task was to lead women back to the mission of motherhood.
