! INSTALMENT SYSTEM ' [BY TELEGRAPH —I'IIESS association] I • WELLINGTON. Tuesday It is announced by the Minister of ' Finance, lit. Hon. J. G. Coatos, that arrangements have been completed for a > continuation of the sale of incomo tax 5 certificates. By buying these Certificates month by month throughout the year taxpayers can provide for the payment of income tax to be met in vFebruary, 1934. and in the meantime they receive 3 per cent interest on the amounts temporarily invested in the certificates. Provision for the snlo of these certificates was made to meet the public demand for spreading income tax payments. In addition spreading payments over the t year assists the finances of the State as - it obviates so much borrowing in antici- . pation of revenue. , From June last to February of this I year, the period in which certificates were ' on sale, certificates to the value of £127,500 were sold.
