WHANGAREI, Friday The Northlapd Trotting Club has completed arrangements with the Cambridge Trotting Club to hold the former's meeting on the' Cambridge course on May 8, immediately following the Cambridge Club's meeting on May G. This step has been ren-. dored necessary owing .to tho Northland Club's isolation and its limited resources. At a meeting of the executive of the Northland Trotting Club last evening, the chairman,: Mr. H. W. Crawford, stated that, taking everything into consideration, it was not thought advisable at present to take the risk of a one-day meeting in Whangarei when it was possible to have a twoday meeting at Cambridge, conjointly with that club. All efforts to conduct the next meeting on other courses had proved unavailing until tho Cambridge Club save its consent. A resolution thanking the Cambridge Club for its courtesy, generosity and sportsmanship was carried by acclamation. Official approval of the course and the time of the meeting has been received from tho New Zealand Trotting Conference. MORE SUCCESS FOR K. VOITRE

Byi riding five winners at the Manawatu Racing Club's Autumn. Meeting at Awapuni the successful horseman K. Voitro brought his tally of wins for tho season to 85. Voitro rode 83 winners when he headed the list of winning riders in New Zealand last season, so that ho has eclipsed that feat this term with four months of the seuson still to go. It appears fairly certain that Voitre will reach the century mark, but whether ho can heat • H. Gray's Dominion record of lib winners in one season remains to bo seen.
