DRESSED AS WOMAN

LIVERPOOL MAN ARRESTED When Henry Cavenay, aged 23, of Bolton Street, Liverpool, was accused at Liverpool of behaving in a disorderly manner, he appeared in court dressed as a woman. The prosecutor explained that he would ask for a doctor's report, as the circumstances were peculiar. At 2.50 am. an officer saw Cavenay dressed as a woman, wearing silk stockings, a frock, a green coat with a fur collar, and a mackintosh. Cavenay's Hps were painted and his face was powdered. The constable spoke to Cavenay, who replied: "I did not mean any harm." Cavenay had no connection with students who had been collecting. Cavenay, who pleaded not guilty, was remanded for a week.
