otorohanga fixture With prize-money totalling £IOO tlie Otorohanga Spoils Club's Easter Monday fixture is claimed to bo the biggest professional meeting in tho Dominion. There arc five athletic events on tho programme, the big event, being the IOOydH open Otorohanua Handicap, of £25. In addition there are (lie Kio Kio Handicap of 220 yds and the Wain a Handicap of t-tOyds, both of £ls, while the half-mile and the mile handicaps are of £l2 each. In cycling events there are the Otorohanga wheel race, of £25, (he three miles race of £2O, the, half-mile of £ir>. and tho mile race of £2O. Wood-chopping competitions are particularly well entered for, the main feature being the £IOO Otorohanga Standing Chop of 15in. blocks. Other events are the open standing chop, 12in., of £35. and tho onen underhand handicap chop, of lnin. blocks, with a value £2O. All the blocks are of puketea and automatic judges' are in use. MEETING AT TE KUITI The 14th annual meeting of the To Kuiti Friendly Societies' Sports Club will bo held on the To Kuiti Domain oil April 15. Tho Maniapoto Silver Bund will bo in attendance and there will bo the usual Hideshows and novelty events. A feature of the gathering will be the dancing competitions, in which tlioro is expected to he a large entry. The athletic events will comprise splinting, walking, jumping and cycling contests, while events for ladies are also included on the programme,
