DEVONPORT AFFAIRS
LOCAL BODY ELECTIONS At a meeting of the North Devonport and Victoria Park Ratepayers' Association it was decided to support the candidature of C. Farquharson and W. Mouatt for seats on the borough council, to urge Mr. H. F. W. Meikle to seek election to the Waitemata Power Board, and to endorse the candidature of Messrs. S. E. Kennings and G. Trevethick, present members of the board. Mr. 0. W. Marks, another sitting member, is not seeking re-election. The following officers were elected: — President, Mr. B. L. Smith; vice-presi-dent, Mr. W. Marks; honorary secretary, Mr. G. Ewington; honorary treasurer, Mrs. Ewington; executivo committee, Messrs. R. Harding, W. Prebble, H. R. Harper, F. C. Da vies and A. J. Bogus; social committee, Mrs. Parry, Messrs. H. Osmers, F. C. Davics, S. Christian and J. Hall.
