Information has been received in Sydney that Miss Jean Batten intends to fly solo from England to Australia, leaving on April 10.

Miss Jean Batten is a daughter of Mr. F. 11. Batten, dentist, of Auckland, and is 22 years of age. She received her air training and qualified at the Stag Lane aerodrome, London. She holds a B certificate and is ranked among the most accomplished women fliers in England. Miss Batten is also a talented dancer and pianist. Her brother is Mr. John Batten, film actor, who appeared with great success in "Under the Greenwood Tree." He recently paid a visit to Auckland.
