ENGAGEMENTS IN NORTH MR. FORBES DUE ON TUESDAY [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] "WELLINGTON, Thursday The Prime Minister and *" three other members of the Cabinet are to spend several days in the north next week. They are primarily concerned with the first meeting of the Waitangi National Trust Board. They will also be engaged in special tours and visits of inspection to various State developmental works. The Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. G. Forbes, will leave Wellington on Monday evening for Auckland, where he will attend and speak at a luncheon that is being arranged by the Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday. He will leave for Russell on Wednesday, attending the meeting of th« Waitangi Trust Board next day. On Friday and Saturday, Mr. Forbes will accompany tile Minister of Native Affairs, Sir Apirana Ngata, who will also attend th# meeting of the board, in a tour of inspection of various native land developmental schemes. Returning to Auckland MrForbes hopes to motor through the Watpoua Forest and reach Auckland on the following Sunday, April 2. The Minister of Finance, Rt. Hon. JG. Coates, will probably not be able to leave Wellington until (Tuesday afternoon's train. He will proceed direct to Waitangi and may spend a day or so m the district.
The Minister of Lands, Hon. E. ■A.Ransom, will leave for Waitangi on Tuesday. He will not stop in Auckland. After attending the meeting of the Trust Board, ho intends to make an official visit with officers of his department to various Government land settlement works, f ® will visit Kaitaia, Kaikohe, ar ? a,r '^ 1 ? and Whangarei, so that he will be North Auckland for some days.
