Miss Doris Pctrie, of Wellington, is the guest of Mrs. V. A. Iluddleston, The Drive, Epsom.

Mrs. G. Stroud, of Grafton, left by the Monowai yesterday for Sydney en route to England.

• Miss Petty McCrea, of Palmerston North, is the guest of Mrs. Arthur Khind, Golf Road, Otahuhu.

Miss Molly Coleridge, of Wellington, left Auckland by the Monowai yesterday for Sydney en route to England.

Mrs. P. W. Mathews and Miss Mathews, of Featherston, and Miss J. Lethbridge, of To Awamutu, are at the Grand Hotel.

Mrs. C. L. Clark, wife of Mr. Clark, Western Australian representative on the Australian Dairy Board, left for Sydney by the Monowai last evening. She was accompanied by her son and daughter.

At the Station Hotel are:—Mrs. G. W. Corfe, of Hamilton; Mrs. S. Millard, Sydney; Mrs. F. M. Blake, Mount Maunganui; Mrs. 11. Farmaner, Western Australia; Miss H. B. Evans, Rotorua.

A meeting of the Mount Eden branch of the League of Mothers was held yesterday, there being about 70 members and friends present. An interesting talk on "Women in Other Lands" was given by Mrs. R. Laidlaw. Mrs. J. Poole pave two enjoyable elocutionary items. Afternoon tea was served, the hostesses being Mrs. Knox, Mrs. Turner and Mrs. Onyons.

The weekly concert given by Mrs. Raeburn and Mr. A. Hamblin at tho Public Hospital was held in Ward 28 on Wednesday evening. A very delightful programme was provided by Mr. J. F. Montague. It comprised songs, duets, violin solos, flute solos and humorous sketches. Those taking part were: Miss Ida Lockwood, Miss Ida Walker, Miss Ruth and Miss Nina Scott, Mr. R. Simmers, Mr. W. Hemderson and Mr. J. F. Montague. Miss Nina Scott was the accompaniste.
