TROOPING THE COLOUR

PREPARATIONS AT HAMILTON CEREMONY THIS AFTERNOON [FJIOM OCR OWN CORUKSrONDENT] HAMILTON. Wednesday The greater part of tlio training carried out during tho week by the first battalion of the Waikato Regiment, -which is encamped on the Claudelands racecourse, has been connected with the trooping of the regimental Colour, which will take place at tho grounds of the Hamilton High School to-morrow afternoon. It will be tho first occasion the Colour has been trooped sinco tho regiment's inception in 1911. Tho spectacular ceremony, which will take about an hour to perform, consists of an elaborate series of drill movements, in which the drums and the band play an important part. The salute will bo taken by Colonel J. E. Duigan, officer commanding the Northern Command.
