HEAVY FALL IN KILLINGS RESTRICTION NOT NEEDED FIGURES FOR FOUR MONTHS During the first four months of, the meat export season ended January 31, killings of mutton in the Dominion declined by over 50 per cent, compared with last season, and lamb killings were 12 per cent lower, according to the latest returns of the New. Zealand Meat Producers' Board. Shipments of lamb , overseas were reduced by 17 per cent, and mutton shipments were 50 per cent lower, stocks held in New Zealand being lower than last year, an indication that the restriction of 10 per cent in shipments for which the British Government aSked was unnecessary. Killings of lamb during the four months period this season totalled 3,263,983 carcases, compared with 3,708,689 carcases in the same period in 1931-32, while ton killings amounted to 481,744. carcases, against 1,025,146 cat'casea' last' season.'
