CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
o NEW OFFICERS APPOINTED MR. H. TURNER PRESIDENT An election of officers for the Auckland Chamber of Commerce will not be necessary this year, as the number of nominations equals the number of vacancies. The vice-president, Mr. Harvey Turner, is to succeed Mr. A. M. Seaman as president. Mr. C. F. Bennett is the new vice-presi-dent. The elected members of the new council are Messrs. D. Carter, W. P„. Fee, G. Jackson, A. C. Norden, M. Stewart, R. F. Ward.' With the exception of Mr. Jackson all the councillors were elected members of the old council. Mr. Jackson was, howover, until this month a non-elective member of the council as the representative of tho importers' section of the chamber. He succeeds Mr. 11. S. Eastgatc, who did not seek re-election.
