INTER-STATE MATCH VICTORIA OUT FOR 299 (Received February 10, 10.35 p.m.) MELBOURNE. Feb. 10 A Sheffield Shield cricket match between Victoria and South Australia was begun in Melbourne to-day. Victoria batted first and made 299 runs (Oakley, 103; Thomas, 53; O'Brien, 44; Plant, 43). Grinimett took six wickets for 109 runs and Lee four for 80. Both sides were without their star players, who are engaged in the fourth test match.
