GERMAN CABINET
RESIGNATION ANNOUCED HERR VON PAPEN SENT FOR (Received January 29, 5.5 p.m.) BERLIN, Jan. 28 General von Schleicher's Cabinet has resigned arid the President, Marshal von Hindenburg, has rqquested Hcrr von Pa pen to endeavour to form a Government.
A cablegram from Berlin on Thursday stated that llerr Hitler, leader of the Nazis, had abandoned his "all or nothing" policy, and informed the President that he no longer demanded the Chancellorship as a condition for supporting the President. The way was paved, therefore, for the formation of a Cabinet of all the Right parties, including the Centre and Nazis. The message stated that it. was understood that the Nazis would accept Ilerr von Papen as Chancellor, but General von Schleicher was not likely to surrender that office tamely.
