CORNWELL CUP

PRESENTATION CEREMONY CONFERENCE DECISIONS [dy telegraph—PßESS association] CHRISTCHURCH, Sunday r J ho Cornwell Cup and medals were presented to the winning Auckland crew at a public gathering at.Lyttelton yesterday. Tributes were paid to their sportsmanship and the excellent conduct of the contest.

At a conference of delegates, a Canterbury remit that all ports should provide their own boats and each crew should sail its own boat in the first race, the boats to be drawn for in subsequent races, was lost. The principal objection was the cost to clubs of cartage and freight. A further remit that the depth of the rudder be increased by four inches was held over until the next conference.
