AUSTRALIAN DIRECTOR POST TO BE RELINQUISHED MELBOURNE. Jan. 25' Colonel H. C. Brinstnead is to be retired on superannuation from the post of Director of Civil Aviation. His health, which has not fully recovered since the accident in an aeroplane crash in Siam in December, 1931, will not permit his resumption of duty. His successor has not been decided upon, but it is understood that Colonel Johnston, the preseift Deputy-Director, will be promoted.
