After chasing him 50 yards the crocodile plunged at him and fell into the water. Messrs. J. Mullierin and Tenech were dragging a net when ill". Tenech trod on a submerged object which was the tail of tho crocodile. The tail swishod upwards and caused Mr. Tenech to stumble. Mr. Mullierin, who saw the swishing object, thought it to be a stingray. "That's a decent stingray," he said. "Look out for him!" "I think it is a crocodile." said Mr. Tenech, with alarm. Mr. Mullierin did not share that view, and they wont on prawning, after gaining the bank. When the two men were about to cast the net the crocodile made for them. Mr, Mulherin slipped and fell down an embankment and splashed through the water to safety. The crocodile concentrated on Mr. Tenech, who had about 25 yards start, but the crocodile overtook him in the next 25 yards. With its jaws open it lunged at him. Mr. Tenech made a frantic leap to one side, and the rushing monster dashed past him and fell into the stream, sending up a big splash, and disappeared.
