COLLAPSE ON ROAD
TRUCK DRIVER'S DEATH HEART FAILURE THE CAUSE The adjourned inquest concerning the death of Thomas Brownly Harvey, aged 47, carrier, who died suddenly on December 13, was concluded before Mr. W. 11. McKean, S.M., coroner, yesterday afternoon. Evidence was given that at about 1.40 p.m. on December 13 deceased was found lying boside a stationary motor-truck on the bridge over the railway lines at Penrose. He was in a state of collapse and expired a few moments later. Earlier that day, whilo assisting another man to lift a heavy bale of bags, ho suddenly placed one of his hands over his heart and exclaimed, "Something has happened." He did not appear to be very well after this incident. Dr. D. N. W. Murray, who conducted a post-mortem examination in collaboration with Dr. W. Gilmour, said that in his opinion death was due to heart failure.
A verdict was returned in accordance with the medical evidence.
