POST OFFICE EMPLOYEE YOUNG MARRIED MAN [BY telegraph —OWN correspondent] WHANGAREI, Wednesday An employee at tho Whangarei post 6ffice, Vernon Barakat, aged 21, married, who was arrested this morning, was charged before Mr. W. Reynolds, J.P., with the theft on December 13 at Whangarei of a postal packet containing tho sum of £5, the property of the Post-master-General. Senior-Sergeant Powell, in applying for a remand until February 1, asked that bail be substantial. He said inquiries were being made in connection with other charges. Bail was fixed at £250.
