SHOP WINDOW SMASHED

QUEEN STRIiET- INCIDENT BOTTLE THROWN BY MAN A man threw an empty bottle which smashed a plate-glass window in the Victoria Street frontage of the premises of John Court, Limited, at about 6.30 last evening. A constable witnessed the incident and arrested a young man. There was a fairly large number of people in the vicinity, and the sound of splintering glass caused a crowd to congregate at the corner of Victoria Street and Queen Street. 'Lhe window which was smashed was valutd at about £25. The man arrested will appear in the Police Court this morWing charged with committing mischief.
