TAKAPUNA TENNIS CLUB
OPEN DAY HELD PROGRESSIVE TOURNAMENT An Open Day was held at the Takapuna Tennis Club yesterday in order to raise funds for the club. There were members present from a large number of city and suburban clubs who took part in a progressive tournament played throughout the afternoon. The winners were: — Mrs. Hickson and Mrs. Malcolm who tied for (lie A grade and Miss Garrett who won the B grade. Afternoon tea was served in the bowlers' pavilion in the adjoining grounds, where the tables were decorated with bowls of bright summer flowers. Among the players were:—Mrs. Eugene Sullivan, Mrs. Hickson, Mrs. Freeman, Mrs. Burd, Mrs. Ilutchings, Mrs. Lush, Mrs. Langbien, Mrs. Heywood, Mrs. Freeman, Mrs. Norman Howe, Mrs. Caughey, Mrs. D. M. Davidson, Mrs.- Meyers, Mrs. A. Seaman, Mrs. Lush, Mrs. Cameron, Mrs. Cantwell, Mrs. Edmonds, Mrs. Clouston, Mrs. Malcolm, Mrs. Sands, Mrs. Everiss, Mrs. Thomas, Mrs. H. L. Bowden, Mrs. Rollo, Mrs. Warren, Mrs. J. W. Williamson, Mrs. Lorie, Mrs. L. L. Speedy, Mrs. Mason, Mrs. Taylor, Mrs. R. Ivil (New Plymouth), Miss E.
