CHILDREN AND TROLLEYS
COMPLAINTS AT KINGSLAND I ATTITUDE OF COUNCIL Complaints regarding children causing annoyance to residents of Fourth Avenue, Kingsland, by riding trolleys and playing ball games in the street, were received by the Mount Albert Borough Council at its meeting last evening, "No one would objoct to children going past with their trolleys, but when they pull them up tho hill' and fly down in them hour after hour past a person's house, it is time, I think, to complain," stated ono resident in a letter. It was further alleged in another lottor that children had damaged trees plantod in tho avenue.
"It seems to me that the- best thing to do would be to interview tho parents of the children," said the Mayor, Mr. W. F. Stillwell. "Times being what they are and kiddfes what they are I would rather talk in this strain than of prosecution."
It was decided that steps should taken to ascertain the names of the offending children and to place the matter before their parents.
