WELLINGTON", Monday A large galle:ty followed the final of the open championship event at the Dominion croquet tournament at Riddiford Park to-day. Having beaten Captain Hartnell in the semi-final, Mr. H. P.* Stratton played Mrs. Watkins, whom he defeated in two games, the scores being 26—10, 26 —1. Mr.. Stratton played faultless croquet throughout the tournament. The following trophies were presented by the retiring president, Mrs. H. Rhodes Williams:—• Open Championship.—Stratton. Runnerup: Mrs: Watkins. Women's Championship.—Mrs. W. E. Caldow. Runner-up: Mrs. Watkins. Championship Doubles.—Mrs. Palmer and Mr. Stratton. Runners-up; Mrs. Henderson and Captain Hartnell. Level Singles.—E. Managh. Runner-up: Mrs. Lees. Handicap Singles.—Mrs. Kibblewhite. Runner-up: Mrs. Bassett. B grade: Miss J. Beal. Runner-up: The Rev. Tye. Handicap Doubles.—Mrs. Bartlett and E. Managh. Runners-up: Mrs. Tingev and Mrs.' Clark. The following English medals, played for at Hastings last autumn, were presented :—Gold medal: Mrs. Watkins. Silver medal; Mrs. Caldow.
