STORY OF ROBBERY POLICE NOW SCEPTICAL HOLLYWOOD, Jan. 7 The police are sceptical about the robbery of £BOOO worth of her jewels whith the cinema actress Betty Compson reported to them. They say that she has been drinking and that her descriptions of the robber vary wildly from tune to time. She said, at one stage, that she j knew the robber's name, but that she was afraid ta disclose it for fear of being taken in a car and shot. When she was taken- to police headquarters, Miss. Compson was hysterical.
