The tourists, 77 in number, are travelling under the auspices of the Bendigo Agricultural and Horticultural Rocietv.
The visitors have invited four representatives of the Auckland Agricultural and Pastoral Association and four members of the Farmers' Union to be their guests at luncheon to-day, when opportunity will be taken to exchange fraternal greetings. Several members of the party will leave for the Waikato this afternoon and the remainder will follow to-morrow.
At Frankton Junction they will inspect the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company's factory before proceeding to the Waitomo Caves. On Thursday they will journey on to Now Plymouth, via Mount Messenger, and on Friday will proceed from New Plymouth to Wanganui. The next day they are booked to pass, through Wellington and connect with the ferry steamer for Lyttelton. Returning to Wellington on January 24, the party will travel to Palmerston North and will spend the following day inspecting the Massey Agricultural College, leaving later for Napier. Thence the tourists will proceed to Wairakei on January 26, and on January 27 to Rotorua, where they will spend two days before leaving for Auckland to rejoin the steamer for Sydney oil January 30.
