CONFERENCE AT BOMBAY SOME INTERESTING ADDRESSES 5 The 30th annual summer conference of the New Zealand Student -ChristianMovement, which opened at St. Ste*phen's r College, Bombay, on ■ Thursday,- is attended by 120 students from the University and teachers' tiaining colleges of v Auckland, Wellington. • Christchurch and' Dunedin. Study includes a series on "Life in the Kingdom," written byCanon R. H. Hobday, Rev: H, W. Newell, Mr. W. T. G. Airev and Mr. L. W. Holt. " • •:
The first of a series of addresses,, bear?' ing on the studies was given by ..the Rev.. D. D. Scott, of Onehunga, Moderator-" elect of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand, who spoke on "Man's Relationship to God." The Rev. H. W. Newell,, of Wellington, who is chairman of the conference, spoke on "Family Relationships in* the Kingdom." Professor A. G. B. Fisher,-" Professor of Economics at the University of Otago. gave a special address an "New Zealand's Attitude to Europeans Affairs." Canon Hobday is conducting the* daily periods of intercession. The recreational side of -the conference is well catered- for, the students having at their disposal the the Bombay', Tennis Club. Tramps have been arranged to various points of interest and southern delegates expressed amazement •at the fine view of the city and province which- 5 they obtained from Bombay Hill. * The conference will conclude next Thursday morning.
