SOCIAL EVENING HELD
Mrs. H. K. Vickery entertained the committee of the Harbour Lights Guild at a very enjoyable social evening held at the Seamen's Institute yesterday. The clubrooms were very bright and attractive looking with decorations of coloured streamers, bowls of Iceland poppies and stock. A musical programme was arranged and competitions were held, the winners being Mrs. I. L. Lawford and Mis. T. Purdoin. The chaplain, Mr. H. K. Vickery, took the opportunity of thanking the committee for their work in connection with tlie mission and mentioned the last three gifts of the guild—a piano, a billiard table and a radio set, for which great appreciation was felt. Mrs. Vickery received the guests wearing a frock of blue ninon. Among those who were present were:—Mrs. Preston Chambers, Mrs. E. 11. B. Milsom, Mrs. E. L. Berthon, Mrs. T. N.
