Senegal (Hepburn) ran half a mile on the outside of the course proper in 52 3-ss. a satisfactory ellort.
Interlocutor (Voitre) sprinted three furlongs in ,38 2-ss.
Jean Ladosio (Thompson) held a slight advantage over Mercian Prince (11. F Gray) at tho close of half a mile in 545. Beau Gallants (Mijes), under a firm hold throughout, ran a mile in 1.50 J. This Top Gallant gelding is putting great vim into his work.
Beaconsfield (L. Jones), after a slow initial furlong, got to tho end of five furlongs in 1.8 2-5 and seven in 1.3 G.
Pafearoa (Pagan) had J oyspear (Cliisholm) as a partner over six furlongs 011 the plough. Joy-spear, who has always had the reputation of being a good trackworker, finished more strongly than Patearoa, who does not give of his best in training.
Riotous (Miles) and Headland (C. Robinson) showed themselves to bo two promising maiden performers over the battens, jumping straight and fast.
Easterly is back among the active workers and appears to have built up considerably. La Moderno and Minstrel Lad lightened lip somewhat on the trip to Riccnrton, but otherwise are looking little the worse. _They will next figure at the Feilding meetmg.
Princess Dorcen had the misfortune to get into a fence the other day. The injury is not proving to bo Berious and she is expected back on tho tracks any day. L. Kriapp has received an addition to his team, a gelding by Little England from Mis 3 Archie. _ Tho new arrival is a halfsister to Archieval. J. Kelly is now bringing to tho tracks his three-yenr-old by Lackhnm from Capitulation. Since being operated upon the chestnut has sobered down considerably and is now better-mannered. The Lord Ouex —Catalini gelding, who is one of L. Wilson's team, is growing into Ml attractive-looking two-year-old. It is intended to give him plenty of time nnd probably little will be seen of him for some time to. come.
