ACT OF SACRILEGE
DAMAGE IN A CHURCH
VANDALS USE RIFLES
SYDNEY. Nov. 1G A party of vandals, armed with rifles, damaged the interior of St. James' Church of England, at Kippilaw, near Goulburn. The altar cruets and font bowls were used as targets and blown to pieces.
Bullets were found buried in the altar woodwork, and a portion of the altar railing was shot away. Three large windows were reduced to fragments.
