TAURANGA SOCIETY'S SHOW

TAURANGA, Wednesday
The Tauranga Beautifying and Horticultural Society's summer flower show was held in the Towu Hall yesterday. The show was officially opened by the president of tho society, tho Mayor, Sir. B. C. Bobbins, who complimented tho exhibitors on tho splendid display of blooms and urged townspeople to extend the work of beautifying the town. Tho championship in roses was awarded to Mrs. D. A. Ivory. Tho Cazalet rosebowl, awarded for most points gained by an exhibitor in roses, sweet peas, carnations, gladioli and miscellaneous classes, was won by Mrs. A. E. Newsham.
