BLIND INSTITUTE DEBATE

The subject " That 'Mr. and Mrs. Savage' were happier than 'Mr. and Mrs. Modern ' " was chosen for debate at the Jubilee Institute for the Blind last evening, when members of the W.E.A., Y.M.C.A., Forensic and Leys Institute debating teams met, the object being to provide entertainment for the inmates of the institution. Mr. ,T. Egan presided. Messrs. G. G. Grant, K. L. Sly field arid J. Allum spoke in the affirmative and Messrs. J. ('. Stewart, It. W. Miller and l l '. Bruno for the negative. On the vote of the audience, the affirmative team was declared tho winners.
