Mrs, T. JT. Hill, of Wellington, is at tho Grand Hotel. Mrs. A. Milne, of Auckland, is staying at Hotel Mon Dcsir. Mrs. Russell Grace, of Wanganui and Miss Grace are at the Grand Hotel. Miss Eleanor Upton, of Remuera, is leaving to-day by the Mariposa on a short visit to Sydney. Lady I'arr and Miss Betty Parr are leaving to-day by tho Mariposa for a visit to Australia. Mrs. C. Matthews, of Hamilton, and Mrs. B. C. Taylor, of Matamata, aro at the Central Hotel. Mrs. R. L. Home and Miss Viveene Home, of Takapuna, have returned from a two months' visit to Tauranga. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hall, who have been among the guests at Hotel Yentnor, Devonport, have returned to Hamilton. Mrs. J. W. Chapman and Miss C. Chapman, of Hamilton, Mrs. Seager and Master Scagcr, of Suva, aro at Hotel Stonehurst. The Rev. S. It. Wareing and Mrs. Wareing, of To Awamutu, who havo been staying at Hotel Stonehurst, have left for tho South. The annual bazaar of St. Luke's Church, To Kuiti, organised by the ladies' guild, was held in the parish hall on Friday. Mrs. S. R. Aymes, the secretary, on behalf of the guild, thanked the mothers of tho babies and members of tho various committees for making the baby carnival the success it was. Mrs. Harris, vice-presi-dent of tho guild, presented the baby competition prizes as follows: —Mrs. Isaac, 1; Mrs. W. Johnson, 2; Mrs. Higgins, 3. Prior to leaving Rangiriri, where they havo been resident for tho past six years, Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Clark and Mr. E. Clark were guests at a farewell gathering held in the Pavilion, Rangiriri, recently. Mr. and Mrs. Clark were the recipients of a "Westminster Chiming Clock" presented by Mr. R. G. Pulham, on behalf of the residents, and a set of shaving | equipment was presented to Mr. E. Clark. About 350 residents were present and excellent music for dancing was provided by ! Allen's Orchestra. A social evening in connection with St. Peter's Church, Takapuna, was held on Thursday in the parish hall, with the Rev. and Mrs. R. Haley Trill as host and hostess. The supper arrangements were in tho hands of four of the members of the St. Peter's Women's Club, Mesdames Tnrtill and Ellis and the Misses Litt (2). The programme comprised solos by Miss Taylor and recitations by Mr. Trill and Miss Marjorie Hall. Old-time dances and modern were under the supervision of Major Wilkie. Music for dancing was provided by Mr. and Mrs. Buckley and Mr. Sinton. Among those present i were: —Mesdames Mathewman, Drower, Dibley, Cutler, Turtill, Keesing, Blechyndon, Thomas, Nancarrow, Chubb, Blomfield, Blackwood, Collard, Foote, HarrisonLee, Mathew Taylor, Strange, Winter, Plummer-Jones, Hall, and the Misses Bacchus, Foote, Lorie (2), Blomfield, Litt (2), Taylor (2), Hall, Dibley, Ellis, O'Neil, Marsh.
