PRESENTATION OF PRIZES The annual distribution of prizes by th» Birkenhead and Northcoto United Friendly Societies' Indoor Bowling Club took placa on Saturday evening at a smoke concert, over 100 being present. The president, Mr. E. H. Steward, who presided, welcomed the representatives of the Wnitemata Bowling Club, for whom Mr. M. J. Walsh, vicepresident, and Mr. J. Williamson, secretary, replied, and Mr. S. Eade, of Takapima, replied on behalf of sister organisations on tlie North Shore. The chairman congratulated the successful competitors. He handed the Cliva Sampson Cup. with its miniature, to E. Hoylnnd. winner of the championship singles, and a trophy to F. G. Blackweil, the runner-up. Tho cup for the handicap singles was also won by E. Hoyland. the trophy for the runner-up going to J. Lynch. The winners of the championship pairs. A. Wrightson and S. E. Kindley, each received cups, and trophies were Given to tho ruuners-np.'. W. L. Rowland and F. L"arrington. Trophies were also presented to the various tournament winners. Hems were given by Messrs. 11. trycrRsis'ier, C Hunter, J. Smithson, J. Colquhorn. H. Wood. J. White. C. Slan;icr. D Flood. E. Fort. The accompanist' was Mr. D. Flood.
