COUNTY COUNCIL DEBTORS [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] GISBORNE, Saturday Judgment on amounts totalling over £IOOO representing arrears of rates due to the Matakaoa County Council were given for the council at a special sitting of the Magistrate's Court at Port Awanui. Mr. P. H. Harper, S.M., made a special visit to that centre for the purpose of dealing with the cases so that the council would have an opportunity of securing some rate money as early as possible.
