STORES FOR STATE
EXPENDITURE REDUCED SAVING OF OVER £1,500,000 An indication of the extent to which expenditure has been reduced by Government departments is afforded by the annual report of the Stores Control Board, which shows that the total amount paid for stores during the year ended March 31, 1932, was £2,757,214, a reduction of £1,529,590, or 35 per cent, on the expenditure in the previous year. The expenditure on behalf of the departments during the past two years is as follows:
