- PROPOSED LEGISLATION RAILWAY ASSOCIATION'S VIEWS [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Friday The Railway Superannuitants' Association, now meeting in Wellington, announces that, after examining exhaustively the Government Superannuation Funds Bill, it finds that the proposed legislation is of such a drastic nature, and so unfair in its incidence, that undue hardship would result wero it brought into effect. The association points oiA that New Zealand i s the only part of tho British Empire even to contemplate breaking faith with its retired civil servants, and affirms that any savings that niiglit bo made by not honouring the present contracts would be of little consequence as compared with the world-wide loss of prestige and credit that would result.
