ARTS AND CRAFTS

Tlie Arts and Crafts Section of the Penwomen's League held an exhibition of work at the league rooms yesterday afternoon and evening. Some very attractive novelties were shown in the form ofcalendars, pottery, colour photography, barbola, marquetry, leather and beaten metal work, as well as original illustrated poems, stories, cards, etc. Thoso who exhibited were Misses E. and W. Melville, Miss Brior Gardner, Miss M. Spicer, Mrs. 0. Webber, Mrs. Helen Griffiths, Mrs. Shutes, Mrs. Vigers, Mrs Carte-Lloyd, Mrs. Tompkin and Miss Spicer. Bowls of deep yellow marigolds arranged on stands about the main room made an attractive setting to the work.
