LADY'S PURSE STOLEN

QFFENCE AT TE AROHA [from our own correspondent] TE AROHA, Friday The theft of a lady's purse from a seat in the Te Aroha Domain while the owner wag playing croquet was admitted in the Te Aroha Police Court by Transvaal Herbert Burmester. It was stated by the police that one of the ladies noticed accused's head behind one of the seats afid saw, him fumbling with her coat. When he saw his action had been noticed accused made off, but the lady followed and saw him leave the domain by a side entrance. Burmester was fined £5 .and \vas ordered to make restitution. He was also ordered to take out a prohibition order.
