INTER-HOUSE TOURNAMENT The inter-houso snooker tourney was continued at the Olympic Sports Rooms last evening. Following were the results:— George Walker, Limited, beat Sargood, Son and Ewen, by 817 point,® to 801; George Court's bent, Kempthorne, Prosser, by 858 points to 732; Post and Telegraph beat Robs and Glondining by 953 points to 750. The remnining draw for this week i« as follows; This evening; Auckland Savings Bank v. New Zealand Hehald, Vacuum Oil Company v. Municipal Offices. Tomorrow evening; Auckland Mutual Provident Society v. Commercial Bank. Central Police Station v. Smith and Caughey's. CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNEY A large number of epecto.lors witnessed a very fine contest in the championship snooker tournament at the Central Billiards rooms last evening, when J. Davideon defeated W. Knott b:y two games to one. All the games were very evenly contested. In the last Davidson required the final two balls to win. Kjiott had a very difficult cut into the top pocket, and, in attempting to pot the ball, he missed, and left same, for Davidson to win. The final scores were;—Davidson, 34, 61, 62; Knott, 58, 44. 54. Another game in the quarfer-final will be played to-night between J. Dryland and B. Cutlett.
