AMATEUR ATHLETICS

HUNTLEY SCHOOL CHAMPIONS The Huntley school (Marton) held its annual athletic eports under unfavourable weather conditions, rain falling in the morning, while it was showery in the afternoon, making the track conditions heavy. The senior championship for boys over 12 years was won by R. S. Shield with 31 points. G. W. S. Williams being second witli 19, and J. W. Barton third with 11. Shield established a new record for the half-mile, reducing the figures of 2m 29}s to 2m 295, The junior championship, under J'2 years, was won by A. Coldicutt with 18 points, R. E. Stout being second with 10 poinls, and H. G. Rix-Trott third with 5j points.
