BULL IN QUARANTINE

VALUABLE RED POLL Now in quarantino on Somes Island in Wellington Harbour is a voluable Red Poll bull which Sir R.. Heaton Rhodes has imported from Melbourne for his "Otahuna" estate at Tai Tapu, Cantorbury. Sir Heaton purchased the bull from the Hon. T. H. Payne, of Victoria, who for some years has been importing Red Polls from the best strains in .England, and who is a well-known prize-winner at Australian shows. On account of the infectious diseases regulations the bull was kept in quarantine at Launceston for six months, and following its arrival in New Zealand on October 20 it has to spend another 40 days in quarantine on Somes Island.
