WORN BLANKETS
A GOOD IDEA Blankets which have become worn and thin through long service are by no means ready to be discarded. You can buy pretty cretonne covers really intended to hold worn eiderdowns, but they can be used for the blankets jusfc the same. If two thin blankets are sewn together with double rows of machine-stitching and put into one of these covers they will make, a warm " top ' for the bed. They should be sewn firmly to the cover at the corners, the whole being machine-stitched in a quilty pattern.
