WORKING LAME HORSE
YOUNG MAN FINED A charge of ifl-treating a horse was admitted by Percy James King, aged 19, in the Police Court yesterday, before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M. Detective-Sergeant Kelly said a constable saw defendant driving a lame horse. Pie warned King several" times to take the horse home, but defendant ignored the advice and became highly indignant. ; Mr. Inder, for the defendant, said the latter had been told that it was permissible to work the horse in order to euro a strained muscle, which accounted for its lameness. Defendant had since lost his position. A fine of £2 was imposed.
